Everyone is capable of feeling some form of anxiety. But everyone is also capable of dealing with it. PureWow’s article on wellness gives 29 tips on calming anxiety, from sniffing an orange, writing down a quick gratitude list, to the 4-7-8 breathing exercise (inhale for four seconds, hold your breath for seven, then exhale for eight). The list includes tiny, easily-achievable things, like simply commenting on a friend’s Instagram post, or just allowing yourself to feel anxious for a minute. While there are definitely longer-term solutions you should seek out when it all gets to be too much, these tips are quick-fix items you could apply to your lifestyle everyday, whether to calm your anxiety or for general well-being.
