Everyone’s been hit by the lockdown brought by the coronavirus. However, it’s been found that Covid-19 is having a greater and more devastating impact on people of color. Black and Hispanic people are more likely to catch the virus, more likely to die from it, but less likely to be tested for it and less likely to receive healthcare for it. This article explains the economic and social differences that play into the racial disparity of our medical system and highlights one family’s struggles in receiving adequate care amidst a pandemic.
